Donate in memory

Donating in memory of someone special is a personal way of remembering them.

Many people choose to support Northern Ireland Hospice in memory of someone they love and in recognition of the high-quality compassionate care we provide.

There are various ways you can give in memory of that special someone:

  • Donations in lieu of flowers at your loved one's funeral – simply collecting donations instead of flowers at a funeral can help to support local people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. We offer a range of materials to help, from funeral collection envelopes, cardboard collection boxes and pin badges.
  • Tribute Fund  - setting up a Tribute Fund can provide a lasting and poignant tribute to a loved one. Any fundraising in their memory can be coordinated through the fund, from organising a walk to holding a coffee morning.

When your Tribute Fund has reached £1,000 a plaque with your loved one’s name will be placed on a butterfly sculpture in the Woodland Trust’s Monkstown Wood and you will be invited to a special Remembrance Service in the spring during which a single tree will be planted in memory of all of those who have passed away at Hospice.

Northern Ireland Hospice Book of Remembrance - Our Book of Remembrance is a beautifully presented handmade book in which your loved one's name can be entered providing a lasting tribute to them.  Each day it is opened at the appropriate date.  It can bring a little comfort to view the book on special occasions such as a loved one's birthday or anniversary.

‘“It comforts me greatly to know that the money we raise through Jordan’s Tribute Fund will transform the lives of other local children, young people and their families at such a vulnerable time”’ Janine Beattie
