Horizon House

Horizon House is our Children’s In-Patient Unit and the only service of its kind in Northern Ireland. We care for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers, who have life-limiting conditions or who require support at the end of their lives.

We offer ‘Supported Short Breaks’, providing care to children with complex medical conditions and their families.

We work with the entire family to make sure they get the best out of their stay with us, and each child has one-to-one care. Depending on the family needs, we can take over care completely, allowing the family to take the opportunity to rest and enjoy the time they have together.

Welcome to Horizon House

For many families, receiving a life-limiting diagnosis for their child can be scary, overwhelming, and isolating.

Children's Hospices might seem frightening or unfamiliar at first, but they're actually vibrant places filled with colour, joy, and most importantly, compassion.

In this video our Acting Director of Children's Hospice Services, Grace Stewart, describes the wonderful and uplifting atmosphere at Horizon House and some of the vital services we provide for local children and families.
