On Saturday 16th August 2025, Stormont Estate will be transformed into a vibrant hub of fun, food, and community spirit as NI Hospice brings you One Big Walk, a celebration of care, community, and togetherness.

Forget the lap times – this summer’s One Big Walk is more than a challenge, it’s a full-on family day out!

While some may take on the full 12-hour endurance challenge, families are invited to join for just a few laps, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy everything happening around the route. From themed fancy-dress laps to live music, food trucks, craft markets, and child-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone.

Conal Duffy, Chief Income Officer at NI Hospice, said: “We want people to come for the walk but stay for the day. Whether you’re doing one lap or more, this is a brilliant way to support local hospice care while spending time with your family in one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic outdoor spaces.”

NI Hospice has teamed up with Urban Events, Northern Ireland’s leading outdoor event and experience specialists, to create an open-air market that celebrates the best in local food, music, crafts, and culture. From artisan treats and handmade gifts to live performances and family games, the market promises to be a key highlight of the day.

The event will build throughout the day, ending with a moving candlelit lap at 11pm to celebrate lives and reflect on the difference the community is making, one step at a time.

With less than a month to go, NI Hospice is encouraging families, community groups, and supporters of all ages to register now, make a plan, and enjoy a feel-good day out that gives back.

Registration starts from just £10 for children and £15 for adults, with plenty of flexibility in how long you stay. Team options are also available, and all proceeds go directly towards delivering specialist hospice care for families across Northern Ireland.
