Bob & Berts get their Jingle on and serve up vital funds for NI Hospice this Christmas!

Bob and Berts lend their support to Hospice!

Customers who receive their familiar serving of proper coffee and great grub at Bob & Berts cafés this Christmas can also help deliver an extra helping of festive generosity to local people.

Bob & Berts is asking its customers to make an optional £1 donation on every purchase, in support of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice Christmas campaign which encourages people to ‘Get Your Jingle On’.

The leading café chain aims to raise £30,000 for local children and their families, giving the gift of specialist palliative care that only the Children’s Hospice can provide over the Christmas period.

Aine Condron, Bob & Berts Marketing Manager, said: “Bob & Berts has a long-standing commitment to working within the local community and we’re looking forward to partnering with NI Children’s Hospice once again this Christmas. Joining the much-loved ‘Jingle’ campaign has become a festive tradition for us and our generous customers.

“We were delighted to reach a total of £25,000 last year through our patrons’ kind donations, and this year we really want to aim higher to raise even more much-needed funds to help Hospice give the gift of care this Christmas.

“We are asking all our customers to get their Jingle on, pop into their local Bob & Berts café and contribute the all-important funds that NI Children’s Hospice requires.”

Mary McCall, NI Hospice’s Director of Commercial and Brand Development, said: “We are so grateful for the wonderful support of Bob & Berts. Without such incredible fundraising we simply wouldn’t be able to deliver our specialist palliative care to local people.

“These are difficult economic times, though we are confident that the generosity of Bob & Berts and its customers will rise to the challenge. The continued support of Bob & Berts’ customers across Northern Ireland is helping us make a huge difference to local families who depend on our lifeline services. Thank you!”

Bob & Berts has been a long-time supporter of NI Hospice, having so far donated a magnificent £61k for the charity, including £25k for Jingle last year. Bob & Berts also sponsored the NI Hospice-organised Big Belfast Trail, which saw herds of uniquely decorated Elmer the Elephant sculptures on display across the city over the summer.
