Armstrong Medical, a leading manufacturer and supplier of respiratory products, have raised over raised over £13,000 in just two months for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Over the months of December and January, the firm organised various fundraising activities in their quest to raise vital funds for the charity, including a car boot sale, sponsored personal challenges, canteen tuck shops, raffles, Christmas Jumper Days and ‘Chicken Coop Bingo’ with Winifred the pet chicken.

Staff had initially hoped to raise a few hundred pounds and were further motivated when the company pledged to double match the total amount raised, meaning that for every pound they raised, the Children's Hospice would receive three pounds.  

Kathryn Smith, HR Manager at Armstrong Medical, said: “Our staff have been committed to raising funds for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice since they learned of the vital service provided there. We are very proud of all everyone for their efforts and were delighted to hand over a cheque for such a substantial amount to them.”

Fiona McCann, Corporate Engagement Executive at Northern Ireland Hospice, added; “I’m absolutely delighted that the team at Armstrong Medical have raised an amazing £13,000 for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice in such a short space of time. The team were so enthusiastic and full of ideas right from the very start and were fantastic to work with.

“At Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, we rely heavily on the generosity and goodwill of corporate partners to help fund hospice care services. The amount that the team have raised will enable Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice to continue to care for local infants, children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses”.
