Physiotherapist - Paediatric Palliative Care

Band 6 (£33,598 - £40,588 pro rata per annum)
The post holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team within the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. He/she will carry out all duties associated with the provision of therapy including the undertaking of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and review of children with life limiting or life-threatening conditions, many of whom will have associated complex healthcare needs. He/she will contribute to the development, supervision, and governance of children’s palliative care physiotherapy across the children’s hospice sites. He/she will contribute and where appropriate lead on projects, teaching initiatives and research and will be responsible for their own personal and professional development through liaison with the Head of Children’s Hospice Services, Care Team Manager, and colleagues. He/she will take a lead role in the moving and handling training for care team staff and other staff groups as appropriate.
The Northern Ireland Hospice is a local charity offering specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to infants, children, and adults across Northern Ireland.

Salary: Band 6 - £33,598-£40,588 pro rata per annum
Contract: Permanent Part-Time, and Waiting List for Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time posts
Location: Horizon House, 18 O’Neill Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 6WB
Hours: 27.5 hours per week*; Monday-Friday – weekend cover on an ad hoc basis dependent on business needs
(*Working Pattern may be negotiable dependent on business needs)
