Volunteer in our Hospice Shops

Volunteer in your local Hospice shop, having fun all whilst making a difference to the lives of local people living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.

Giving up a little bit of your time to support Northern Ireland Hospice can be very rewarding. It doesn’t matter how much time you have to offer, by contributing a morning or afternoon each week you can make a real difference in the lives of local people living with life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

We rely on our incredible volunteers that help in a range of roles in store raising vital funds for Hospice and helping to keep our doors open.

The volunteer roles are to provide support to the shop managers and assist in the running of the shops across Northern Ireland.

As a retail volunteer-there are many ways in which you can support in our shops, here are some examples:

-        Providing excellent customer service

-        Interacting with the public

-        Handling cash and working the tills

-        Dressing window and shop displays

-        Sorting through donations

-        Processing stock

-        General housekeeping around the shops

While there are no qualifications needed to volunteer in our shops, we are always happy to avail of our volunteers existing skills. We are interested in volunteers with a warm and welcoming personality; a desire to make a difference to our patients and their families and an interest in charity retailing. We can only accept applications from people aged 15 and upwards.
