NI Hospice invites Lisburn community to play a part in making a difference

Local people in County Antrim and County Down are invited to learn more about the care and support provided by Northern Ireland Hospice at a community roadshow at Laganview Enterprise Centre in Lisburn.

The event will take place from 1pm to 3pm on Friday 6th November and offers an opportunity to find out more about the services and support available through Northern Ireland Hospice.

The evening will shine a light on the specialist palliative care provided by NI Hospice, including Children’s Hospice and Hospice at Home services, and the difference this support makes to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Attendees will hear from the Hospice team and local families, who will share their experiences of Hospice care and the support they have received. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, enjoy a cuppa and find out how to get involved through fundraising, volunteering or spreading the word about the work of the Hospice.

Suzanne Barclay, NI Hospice Community Relationship Manager and host of the Lisburn Roadshow, said “Our aim this Christmas is to raise £500,000 through all our fundraising activities, helping us continue to provide specialist palliative care for babies, children and adults living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses across Northern Ireland. The generosity of our community helps ensure patients and their loved ones receive compassionate care and comfort when they need it most, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helps make this possible.”

“We hope the roadshow will help people in the Lisburn area discover more about the work we do and the many ways they can support Hospice care. Every act of kindness makes a difference and we look forward to welcoming everyone along.”

The Northern Ireland Hospice free community roadshow takes place from 1pm to 3pm on Friday 6th November, at Laganview Enterprise Centre, 69 Drumbeg Drive, Lisburn, BT28 1QJ.
