Bennett Freehill makes a meaningful difference

Last year, Bennett Freehill – one of the UK and Ireland’s leading building services and sustainability engineering consultancies – proudly launched its partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice and Children’s Hospice. In the 12 months since, the company has raised an incredible £3,200.

From becoming Viking heroes at the Dragon Boat Race to flying the Hospice flag at the Belfast City Half Marathon, it’s been a fantastic team effort all round.

As Lisa Thomson, Business Development Manager at Bennett Freehill, said: “The impact of our funding really brings home the reason why we support the NI Hospice. Its vital services make an immeasurable difference across Northern Ireland. A big thank you to everyone – colleagues, family and friends – who supported us and contributed to our JustGiving page. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

This contribution could provide a family with three full weeks of Hospice at Home care – delivering hands-on nursing support, helping manage pain and symptoms, and supporting families through the day-to-day realities of care, all within the comfort of their own home. It means they are not facing this alone, with compassionate, practical and emotional support at every step.

Alternatively, it could fund a full year of bereavement support for four Children’s Hospice families facing the unimaginable loss of their beloved child and sibling. The 12 two-hour sessions of expert grief support help a family through the hardest year of their life, ensuring no one has to navigate that journey alone.

Jessica Steele, Corporate Relationship Manager at NI Hospice, added: “Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Bennett Freehill for your truly outstanding fundraising efforts this year. Your partnership has been amazing, and your enthusiasm and teamwork have helped raise an incredible £3,200 for Northern Ireland Hospice and Children's Hospice.”

The Bennett Freehill team is incredibly proud of what’s been achieved – and they are not stopping here. The team is already looking ahead to another year of fundraising, with more exciting activities planned to continue supporting Hospice’s vital services.
