New Bangor Hospice Shop unveiled

During lockdown, Northern Ireland Hospice made the move to the new shop, located on Bangor Mainstreet, and is now welcoming back customers to all retail shops across Northern Ireland.

During lockdown, Northern Ireland Hospice made the move to the new shop, located on Bangor Mainstreet, and is now welcoming back customers to all retail shops across Northern Ireland.

The new Hospice Shop offers a contemporary and fresh design, inviting customers and supporters to bag a bargain and make a difference to the lives of local people who need it most.

Like all Northern Ireland Hospice Shops, the store sells a wide variety of quality pre-loved items, including clothing, shoes, and home accessories. From designer brands such as Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, to high street brand favourites like River Island, Warehouse, and Oasis - you never know what hidden treasure you’ll find in store!

Northern Ireland Hospice, Head of Retail, Neil Fowler said:

“Our Bangor store has been at the forefront of the local community for 26 years, and we believe this new shop will really enhance our presence in Bangor. After a long period of lockdown, we are delighted to welcome all our incredible volunteers, customers and supporters back safely to #ShopHospice.

We’ve taken every precaution to keep our customers and staff safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to keep our COVID safe measures in place so people can be reassured that the shop not only looks good but remains a safe place to shop.

The community has always been supportive - ever since we opened our doors over two decades ago! Without their help and continuous support, by purchasing goods, volunteering their time to help and donating their pre-loved items, we simply wouldn’t be able to help Hospice raise the funds needed to care for patients and their families who depend on our vital care.”

Bangor Hospice Shop Manager, Nicola Caulfield, is overwhelmed with the support from the local community and said:

“We are delighted to open the doors to our amazing customers once again! Our rails are packed with high quality merchandise that is just waiting to be taken to their new forever home.

We also have a range of volunteer roles available in store to help us with the day-to-day running of our busy shop. Whether you’re hoping to add new skills to your CV, wanting to make new friends or want to give something back - we’d love to hear from you! Application packs are available in store, just ask a member of our friendly team.”

If you're looking for a new summer wardrobe, want to dedicate some of your time volunteering, or have some items that you no longer need and would like to donate – pop in store we’d love to see you! All proceeds raised in our shops go directly to Northern Ireland Hospice enabling us to continue to care for local babies, children and adults living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
