Our Fundraising Promise

At Hospice, our vision is that infants, children and adults with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and their families receive palliative care of the highest standards, thereby maximising their quality of life.

Underpinning this vision are `Our Values`, which we will strive to live by daily.

We believe in

  • A culture of respect and acceptance without distinction or judgement, where everyone can belong.
  • Acting with courage, compassion and integrity to add value to all that we do.
  • Being pioneering, professional and accountable to deliver our very best.

We will provide information about the work we do and our finances so that you can see how important your support is for children and adults in need of specialist palliative care. We will be responsible with our resources.

We will be respectful, honest, and open. We will ensure that all of our fundraising activities adhere to the standards of our industry regulators. We are a member of the Fundraising Regulator, subscribe to their ‘Fundraising Promise’ and monitor our activities against these high standards. This is to ensure public faith in Northern Ireland Hospice, to protect our supporters, and safeguard vulnerable people.

We will take your feedback seriously. If you wish to talk over an issue you have experienced with our fundraising work, we will listen and respond to you quickly. If you wish to submit a formal complaint, this can be done by writing to the Head of Fundraising, NI Hospice Head Office, 18 O’Neill Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 6WB. Any complaint in writing will be acknowledged in two working days and we will endeavour to work together to solve any issues you experience.

We will only communicate with you in the ways you wish to be contacted. If you want to change how we get in touch, let us know and we will respect your preferences. Telephone us on 028 9078 1836 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) or email Supportercare@nihospice.org. Our Privacy Notice can be found here.

We will never sell your data to any external third party or pass on your personal  information to other charities.
The care we provide for infants, children, and adults across Northern Ireland depends on the generosity of the public, so we make these promises to you for your confidence, reassurance, and encouragement.
