After a difficult year of fundraising, we're delighted to announce the return of our annual Big Coffee Break campaign!
This year, we're calling on coffee (or tea) lovers, schools, businesses and organisations across Northern Ireland to host a Big Coffee Break, virtually or in-person, (abiding by social distancing guidelines) from 30th August to 3rd October 2021.
Hosting a Big Coffee Break Coffee for Northern Ireland Hospice and Children's Hospice is a fantastic way to catch up with family, friends and work colleagues that you missed during lockdown, while raising much-needed funds to support people living in your local community. Please remember to abide by NI Executive guidelines within your local area.
A Coffee Break with a Difference
By turning your morning or afternoon coffee break into a fundraiser, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for local people with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
Here's how your donations can make a real difference:
- £37 could pay for an hour of specialist community services
- £140 could pay for a morning/afternoon of specialist community services
- £280 could pay for a day of specialist community services
- £590 could pay of specialist hospice care in the Children's Hospice
How do I get involved?
Taking part is easy! Simply sign up through the registration form below and we’ll provide you with a free supply of Hospice Blend Coffee, supplied in kind by Bailies Coffee, and a fun-filled fundraising pack with top tips on how to host your Big Coffee Break.
All you will need to do is brew the coffee, invite some friends and collect a donation for every cup poured. We suggest that you collect a small donation of £2 for every cuppa poured. However, depending on whether you are hosting your Big Coffee Break virtually or in person, you could alternatively charge an entry fee, charge per coffee and cake, or simply ask for donations.
We kindly ask that each Big Coffee Break host aims to raise £140 which is the amount need to help fund a morning/ afternoon of specialist community services.
Every cup poured, will enable us to continue to provide high-quality and compassionate palliative care to local people who need it most.
