Northern Ireland cafe chain, Bob & Berts, is on a mission to raise vital funds for its charity partner Northern Ireland Hospice this Christmas through its latest in-store fundraising initiative.
For the month of December, all of Bob and Berts 16 stores across Northern Ireland will be facilitating an optional £1 donation on every purchase, filling collection cans, and serving up its delicious Blueberry and White Chocolate Gateau Charity Cake to customers.
The Café Chain will also be supporting the Hospice’s Lights to Remember campaign this year by giving customers the opportunity to lift a Lights tag at the tills where they can write a special message to their loved ones, and hang it on the Bob and Berts Christmas tree in-store.
Colin McLean and David Ferguson, Co-Founders of Bob & Berts, said: “We know the devastating impact that COVID has had on this wonderful charity and its fundraising income for this year and we’re committed to raising as much funds as possible to help alleviate the financial burden that they’re facing.
“We would encourage all customers to support the charity when they are in-store. By purchasing a slice of our charity cake, or simply donating £1 on your purchase, you’ll be making a real difference”.
Michael Nugent, Regional Fundraiser at Northern Ireland Hospice, added: “We would like to thank Bob and Bobs for their continuous support this year. COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our ability to fundraise, and we are now facing a 50% loss in income. Without the support of our local community and businesses, like Bob and Berts, we simply couldn’t continue to provide our vital service, and we’re extremely grateful”.
