Lisburn woman set to scale Kilimanjaro for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice

Lisburn woman and current ACA model, Rachel Jones, is set to take on the challenge of a lifetime as she prepares to climb the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro in September in support of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

To kick-start her fundraising, Rachel is hosting a variety of activities over the coming months, including a raffle, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs, such as a £100 Walk in Wardrobe, Banbridge voucher, a £150 S G Jones Building Supplies voucher, Afternoon Tea  for Two at Ashvale Farm Shop and much more!

Raffle tickets are priced at £5 each, with the draw taking place on Saturday, 29th June. Tickets can be purchased by donating to Rachel’s JustGiving page at: To confirm your donation, please email with your name and number.

Pizza Guys, located in Andersonstown, is also giving away free pizzas on Monday, 6th May with all proceeds going directly to Rachel’s fundraising efforts for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. A suggested donation of £5 for each pizza is kindly requested.

Speaking about her epic challenge, Rachel said: “The work that Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice does is absolutely amazing. I have fundraised through numerous events in the past for the Hospice, however, this year I wanted to reach new heights and do something extremely challenging to raise money for this incredible place. The facilities are second to none and they offer such a precious and vital service to support local families through the most difficult times”.
