Palliative care charity leads the way with retail outlet
Northern Ireland Hospice has expanded its retail division with the opening of a new shop located in the heart of Glengormley in the north of the city.
The new shop will be located in the old Cartmills site and will be a vital and innovative source of income generation for Northern Ireland Hospice.
Neil Fowler, Enterprise and Business Development Manager at Northern Ireland Hospice said: “The new shop will be a fantastic addition to our existing 27 retail stores located across Northern Ireland.
“Many residents will already be familiar with our current retail shop in Glengormley. However, we felt that there was potential within the local area to increase footfall and have decided to relocate to bigger premises.
“This shop will be our flagship store and will have a stylish, ultra-modern interior, filled with a fantastic assortment of high quality clothing; books, bric-a-brac and much more, which we hope will generate new custom”.
Heather Weir, Chief Executive at NI Hospice added: “It is important for Northern Ireland Hospice to be demonstrating innovative social enterprises that the public can benefit from while supporting us, so it is fantastic that we now have this wonderful space. We are confident the public will enjoy this new shop and find fashion labels at a bargain price.”
In order for the retail store to operate successfully, NI Hospice is currently recruiting for volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in fashion and wishing to gain new skills and experience.
