Stride out along one of the finest shoreline walks in Ireland.
Join us at the North Down Coastal Path Walk and walk 'In Support of' or 'In Memory' of your special loved ones and view the city of Belfast from a different perspective, from above!
The North Down Coastal Path is renowned for being one of Hospice's most popular walks, seeing hundreds of people enjoying the 8 mile route from Queen’s Hall Leisure Complex in Holywood to the Pickie Fun Park in Bangor to raise vital funds for hospice care. To view the full route, visit: View Route Here. If you would prefer a shorter 5 mile route you can finish off at Crawfordsburn Beach.
Our Hospice walks are FREE to take part in and that’s in the hope that we can get more walkers on board and fundraising to support Northern Ireland Hospice and Children’s Hospice.
The average Hospice walker raises over £160 each, so we suggest you set this as your fundraising target but just to put it into perspective, it costs £37 for our community nurse specialists to deliver one hour of care, so we’re asking each walker to raise a minimum of £74, which could pay for two hours of vital care in both our in-patient units or in our local community, where 90% of our service is delivered.
So, whether you walk with friends and family, work colleagues, your local support group, or on your own, you’ll be joining our Northern Ireland Hospice community and walking as one. It's about being together and fundraising to help give the gift of care and support to those in our community that need it most.
