Step up for the challenge and raise vital funds for Northern Ireland Hospice and Children's Hospice!
Join us at the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Hospice Walk and walk 'In Support of' or 'In Memory' of your special loved ones and view the city of Belfast from a different perspective, from above!
The Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail, also known as the 'Stairway to Heaven' is located in Co. Fermanagh. One of our most popular walks last year, the route meanders through one of the largest expanses of blanket bog in Northern Ireland, traversing over tracks, boardwalk and staircase.
*A steep climb is required to reach the viewing platform on Cuilcagh Mountain which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding low lands.
Our Hospice walks are FREE to take part in and that’s in the hope that we can get more walkers on board and fundraising to support Northern Ireland Hospice and Children’s Hospice.
The average Hospice walker raises over £160 each, so we suggest you set this as your fundraising target but just to put it into perspective, it costs £37 for our community nurse specialists to deliver one hour of care, so we’re asking each walker to raise a minimum of £74, which could pay for two hours of vital care in both our in-patient units or in our local community, where 90% of our service is delivered.
So, whether you walk with friends and family, work colleagues, your local support group, or on your own, you’ll be joining our Northern Ireland Hospice community and walking as one. It's about being together and fundraising to help give the gift of care and support to those in our community that need it most.
