Caring is at the heart of everything we do.

11 May

Organised by Gareth McKenna , Dominic McKenna and Cormac O'Hanlon a night of Ska, Soul, Reggae and Rocksteady music came to Cliftonville Social Club in March 2017 which raised more than £1245 for the Northern Ireland Hospice.

A fantastic night was had by all on ‘Skalitude V’ with great prizes, brilliant music and the purpose of the night was for as many people to come along, have a bit of craic, enjoy themselves and raise money for a charity that is close to so many people in North Belfast.

Gareth would like to thank everyone who came out to support his fundraising efforts.

“People as always have been so generous, as soon as I put posters up to say I’m arranging a social night there’s never any question, people always turn up and support it.  Cliftonville social club have been so supportive to us with all of the events that we have organized in the past.
I would like to thank everyone who supported the event.  Your support has made a real difference to the lives of the patients and their families that Hospice cares for”.

Thanking Gareth for his ongoing support and explaining just what a difference support from the community makes, Michael Nugent, Community Fundraiser at Northern Ireland Hospice said:

“On behalf of Northern Ireland Hospice, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Gareth and everyone who attended the event for the great amount raised. It is fantastic to see the support that this local event and club has provided for the Hospice. This event really put the fun into fundraising and it is only because of support like this, that we are able to continue to provide care and support to 3,500 babies, children and adults each year”.
