Northern Ireland Hospice offers complementary therapies to patients and their carers All therapies are provided by qualified staff and volunteers.

What is Complementary Therapy

Complementary therapies are hands on treatments involving massage. The treatments are tailor-made to suit individual needs.

Benefits described by patients include the relief of stress and tension. It also lessens anxiety, helps pain relief, aids relaxation and promotes a sense of well being.

Complementary therapies are used along side conventional medical, nursing and allied health professional treatments. They are delivered in a quiet, private environment with relaxing music.

Therapies Available

We offer Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Indian Head massage. All therapists are qualified and are experienced within their own specialist practice.

Qualified staff and volunteers are happy to discuss individual needs with patients and carers and tailor a therapy to suit.

We also employ an artist in residence who offers arts and crafts as well reminiscence therapy and story telling.
